Are tampons and Co. still a thing?

Are tampons and Co. still a thing?

I remember a couple of years ago when I switched from tampons to period pads and just felt awful for the first time. I couldn't stand the feeling of something flowing out of my body the whole time, while me being paranoid of having visible leaks on my pants.

Years later, I could never go back and I am more than thankful that I made the switch, which not only led me to have better periods but also running a startup and a foundation connected to the topic. Nevertheless, I still wonder, how some women still use tampons and other products full of chemicals on the market, that are so more than obviously more than harmful to kind of everything: Themselves, nature, and everybody else involved.

A couple of days I read an article about arsenic and lead, that was found in regular tampons from the supermarket. On Instagram I saw a guy who was truly shocked by the fact that there exists something like Toxic Shock Syndrom (TSS) followed by a huge shoutout to all the women and girls watching the video to stop using tampons.

If we move on towards disposable pads and even period panties, we can talk about plastic and biocides inside of the products and just insane recommendations to wear any period product during the whole day for about twelve hours.

As shocked as I am that products like this are still on the market, I believe in changes. And I believe that sometimes they take time. But I also believe that at some point this poisoning of women all over the world will stop. Call me crazy, but I truly do...
