Please don't stop to pinch me!

Please don't stop to pinch me!

I can't tell you how much I am jumping for joy to feel and see and hear and listen and get proven that period poverty is moving into the heads of more and more people.

Feeling very grown up as I had the opportunity to talk about my work for nookees and my nookees Foundation at the headquarters of the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit" in Berlin. And there it is: A topic that even I just discovered when I started the first research for my own product and business a while ago. I still remember how much the number of people not having menstrual products shocked me. And how much I was and still am driven to do something against it.

A couple of weeks ago when I was jumping from eep talks with German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock to the re:publica event to y talk at GIZ I felt a huge change. An amazing one: I heard people talking about the number of 500 million (menstruating people without access to products, education, sanitary facilities...) so often that I am sure it sticks in some heads. And hopefully hearts.

Talking at GIZ about how to spread awareness about such a horrible topic in such a disruptive way as I am doing it e.g. with the Playboy campaign or the amazing merch series "This is not a period pad" created by Jung von Matt was not just fun, but also an amazing step into the right direction.

And obviously I will not stop here. More messages are on the way to be spread in more disruptive ways. Better stay tuned and meanwhile please support my important work directly with your donation to the nookees Foundation. As cheering me up doesn't get the girls in our projects their needed pads, but your money will do. Directly. 100%.
