New York, Berlin, Tokyo?
Going to New York and presenting my product to the customers over there was already a big moment for me. But also bringing my son to the US (and being part of the Goalkeepers event of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was an incredible blast.
Meeting so many wonderful people, starting amazing connections and seeing what happened during the last year when I just started my nookees Foundation till today is truly mind-blowing. From raising already quite a good amount of money for the projects I am working with to being invited to incredible events... In New York! Holy guacamole.
Spreading the message of period poverty while experiencing how driven other people are about their projects, how so many of us really want to make a change inspired me big time during the last weeks.
I could go into details now about the events I participated but in the end, it doesn't really matter what every one of those changemakers I meet during the last days is having on their agenda.
The most important thing is, that trying to have an impact on the world can sometimes feel a bit devastating as the steps towards the goal can be quite slow. But realizing that we are so many, with so many intentions and so much energy, was one of the greatest learnings I took back home to Berlin.
